This vaguely reminds me of one of the Jurassic Park quotes (I fear my knowledge of it is from the movies but it’s probably in the books as well and I’m about to probably butcher it so that’s likely for the best) that goes something like “we were too busy knowing that we could do it to ask if we should”. Definitely don’t tamper with things such as evolution. We can try to understand it but it’s a slippery slope to try and control.
