Not a minute’s warning

Not a minute’s warning

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Today hangs dangling
over the cliffs of time
with yesterday below
one looks above
to the heavens
for tomorrow.

Andrew...
What is t with this whole thing about death? I'm old enough that even the old actors and politicians are way younger than I am. I think about it enough because it will be here scratching my door-frame before i know it... I spend time daily attempting to come to terms with this greatest of events. The quantum concept of "non-linear time." has been of some comfort... The past and the future are co-existent with now... or, as others say, There is no past, there is no future, there is only this eternal now... in any case, it means my life is and will always be just as it is, every infinitely thin moment of time all at once...

The Sky turns Grey and the silver linings fade.
The light from far off Galaxies have measured our days.
