Who will count the time?

Who will count the time?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

We live
we protect
we destroy
to survive.

Four billion years
from now two ships
will pass in the night
the beacon of light
will burn out.

Time will consume
all of man and all
as we know it,
our existence, life.

Only then will
the last man standing
know how long
was that piece
of string.

Author's Note

andrew mitchell
4 billion years from now our galaxy will be consumed by another larger galaxy forming a new galaxy and some time during that our star will burn out but not before Earth will be drawn closer to the sun burning all on it.
