The philosopher’s headrest

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The intellectual diet
consists of drowning
in information
while starving
for wisdom.

Andrew,
I know, right? I think of it as the "academic diet," though, the Bible says II Timothy 3:7 "always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth." I remember writing an essay in my 1967 Senior English class about all the new science we were discovering, but with no advances in wisdom, and that's why I became a Hippy. My friends and I talked about this issue a lot.

Humans are suffocating falling into the ocean of information. Wisdom is the farthest land. Good poem

Thank you Arundass
dear Andrew... "Where have all the Flowers gone..." and
who put Rumpelstiltskin in Charge... Yes we are drowning in information and starving for Wisdom. So much Intelligence available; however, Wisdom is Hiding because Evil is powerful. If only we could;d have "The Conversion of Paul" where Philosophy and common sense would "Build a Wall". I Rest My Case and Pray. Amen .. Pat
