I could pick your punctuation symbol a mile off!

I could pick your punctuation symbol a mile off!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Grammatically speaking
maybe we are all
punctuation marks.
A word of advice
don’t be a comma
you’ll only trip someone up.
Choose not an exclamation
and bring attention to oneself
or become a question mark
from being punched
into your midriff
for showing off.
Be wise if choosing a colon
two clauses could confuse
and don’t consider a bracket,
it will only close you in.
If you’re not sure
a slash will do,
two for the price of one.
So what am I, you ask?
I am a period, a full stop
to bring an end to your
wandering wondering.

how about an accent mark?
then maybe I would know where to place my emphasis in life.

Sorry J I forgot that one. Damn
I'm not sure what punctuation mark I'd want to be, but there are so many to choose from. I thought this was very clever, giving each of them almost their own personality.
