The thought from nowhere

The thought from nowhere

A Poem by andrew mitchell

While the sanguine thought
navigated through the dust
dancing in the sun rays
from the opened window
happy to see
the light of day
the same could not be said
of the melancholic thought
hugging a teardrop.
They were all waiting
for the thought of the day.

A melancholic thought hugging a teardrop….lovely description and one that I am very familiar with. Thoughts are tricky little things and so very much affected by the time of day when they appear. A sweetly, clever little poem, Andrew.
