Move over Jules Verne

Move over Jules Verne

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The rhythmic
ticking
of the clock
keeps us
in time
with today.

But when
my watch
broke
time
stood still.

I found myself
the centre
of my moment.

“Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it; but while I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains.” - Thoreau

Good to be "the centre of my moment". It's not ego ... just a grasp of your place in Time.
