The cost of living a dream

The cost of living a dream

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Dreams were made
to be broken
so we could
return to reality
only to have
reality break us
in return.

The cost of living
a dream skyrocketed today
beyond our reach
where our minds
were stretched
to arm’s length
to touch a distant star
that was never really there.
