The irony of looking in the glass

The irony of looking in the glass

A Poem by andrew mitchell

He who drinks
his life away
will remain
in death sober.

For there’s no
such thing
as a drunken
ghost
the glass
is always
empty.

Now that is a brilliant thought: a drinking ghost, a drunk ghost.
Might we see bars for them soon; with the drug epidemic in the world, we might see drugged ghosts.
Excellent as usual. Witty, sharp, wise.
