Most extraordinarily ordinary

Most extraordinarily ordinary

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In the literature news
there was a fall
in the poetic index today,
a drop by five verses.

The stanzas however
are holding up
despite several lines
being broken, held together
by a few words.

Unfortunately, the title of the poem
is in a critical condition
following the crash.

Any words who witnessed
the drama unfolding
can come forward
to make a statement.
All grammar and punctuation
will remain anonymous.

For those who don’t
want to see a poem go ahead.
Call poem stoppers.

And now for
the poetry weather,
images will be fine
with some clouds
but a dodge tide
will bring a halt
to all forms of flow.
Some movements
maybe cancelled.
I apologise for
any inconvenience,
it’s just all
extraordinarily ordinary.

You, a weather man, a meteorologist. Who would have thought!
Anyway, I bank on your forecasts.
Poetry with severe thunderstorms
Poetry with balmy weather
