We sell everything

We sell everything

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Hello! Can I help you?
Yes I like to buy a universe.
Anyone in particular?
Yes! One with lots of space
with plentiful planets
and milky ways.
Do you want the one
that comes with Heaven?
No! Of course not!
I’m not religious.
Is it for a friend?
Do you want it gift wrapped?
No! I’ll take it as it is.
It’s for me you know.
Would you like a few stars thrown in?
Yes! That will be nice.
Is this for delivery
through the post
or pick up?
Pick up is fine.
Ok! Finally, do you want one
with space reaching out
touching nothing in the end
or would you like the Big Bang?
Oh! I suppose so.
Alright then
just sign the dotted line
and stand next to
the dots marked
and the black hole
will be right with you.
Thank you for help.
It’s a pleasure!
And your name?
It’s God! You nitwit!
