Lost in transit

Lost in transit

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Come in mind control.
Do you read me over?
What is your position, thought?
I am lost, mind control.
Have you reached your destination?
No, never made it to paper, mind control.
Damn! You were an important line, thought.
Well, we have combed the grounds
and circumnavigated the skull, thought.
Looks like you are terminally lost
in transit somewhere between
consciousness and forgetfulness.
Thought you might like to know, thought!
Thank you mind control.
You are so considerate.
We will notify your next of kin
and we are sending a new replacement
as we speak.
If you ever escape
this world of forgetfulness
let us know.
I will. Bye!
Such a waste! Damn good thought lost
to the wilderness, trapped
in the jaws of perpetual memory loss.
Oh well! S@#t happens!

what an amusing and clever metaphor here.
I have been looking out my desk window quite a bit this past hour, waiting for my thought to come home.
