Come as you are they said

Come as you are they said

A Poem by andrew mitchell

From where I began
to what I’d become,
in between I found
as I am from as I was.
How I miss what I was
now that I am.

Wolfe said, "You can't go home again." It's not true. You can go home again. But don't expect the folks you left behind there to treat you the same as they did the fellow who left. We generally stay the same inside. But we live and we learn. All true change comes from within. But like the Eagles song, Sad Café' says, "Things in this life change very slowly if they ever change at all." Well, THINGS are changing very rapidly these days, but people? That's completely another matter. Human nature is stuck at the proverbial Cain and Abel; brother killing brother without reason.
