I’m doing the rounds, okay!

Hello everyone!
It’s God here.
Yes, I know -
long time no see,
but I bring
good news for a change.
No longer will you all
have power bills, water bills,
a shortage of housing and food -
for I, God will provide
these essentials absolutely free.
All I ask in return is
please return to church on Sundays.
I miss the the choruses, the hum
of the hymns sung in unison,
and above all ( pardon the pun)
your complete devotion.
Anyway, I hope to catch up soon
as I’m doing a universal tour
of all milky ways and galaxies
much like the one you all are in.
In the meantime, behave
and maybe I’ll be back
five thousand light years from now.
