In the chair

In the chair

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Sitting in the arms
of sorrow
I could drown
in the tears shed
but life lives
not in the dead pool.
It is the thoughts
of my own
that weigh me down,
nothing in the world
troubles me more
as I sit in the chair
that makes me ponder.

I like this one Andrew. Maybe we need to get out of the chair more often, go for a walk or get one of those motorized scooters or something. Anything is better than being stuck in one spot.

Thank you Fabian for your words.
It is so true. In our solitude we reflect of the passing times. And it is often in theses solo moments our minds wander towards the existential. Our purpose or lack there of. I like this piece of poetry my friend.
