The weight

The weight

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I am
no more the glass
that holds your pouring
to distribute the weight
holding you down.
I am the shoulder
you can lean on
while you handle
your thoughts that
only you can carry.

yes, we can lean on others...but only we can toss the weight off our shoulders, whatever it is.

Thank you Jacob , nice to see you back where you belong.
"Take a load off Annie" I enjoyed this poem both for its brevity and its philosophical philanthropy. We need to share the burden of our brethren and sisters, here on the bright blue ball. Great stuff, my friend.
