My Grandfather Dave who was a Coal Miner in West Virginia...
married to Minnie... had six children-- 3 boys and three girls.
When the younger was ten years old, he had saved enough money to buy
forty acres of Land in Delaware with a two-story home with a well and water pump.
My Grandmother Minnie milked the Cow and made homemade Butter.
She fed the Chickens every morning. She cooked on a Wood Stove and kept warm.
Grandpa Dave and two of his Sons worked on the Railroad in Delaware. Four of the Children built their own Home on their share of the Land. Grandpa Dave passed to Glory of Black Lung when I was 19 years old. We camped in our share of the Woods and brought in a few Cabins. There was plenty of Fish in the Ocean close by. Your Poem holds True... Grandpa Dave Roop left a Trail and a Legacy and has never died of a broken Heart... His legacy lives on. tenderly, Pat
