Abandoned

Abandoned

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Everyone will find
fault in you
and then add some.
So I followed my fault line
in the hope of finding perfection.
I only found disappointment
abandoned
my self esteem
had run away.

my heart is breaking wise ol' Andrew! my heart is breaking .. really like this one! love the word play and analogy ... poke around in a fault line long enough the earth just may split clean open!

So true! Well-said in just a few succinct lines.

Yes; impactful philosophical write. The pursuit of perfection leads to perfect obliteration.

Super smart write.

Thank you Pryde
The pursuit of perfection seldom leads to anything other than an amplification of our faults. The higher you rise, the further you fall.

Yes you are right John, perfection is exactly that. Thanks for reviewing.

Haha so sweet Pat. What a comic u r.🙂
Not one of us is perfect. Each one of us has faults. Best remember that when we feel others are finding ours. They have theirs too. Don't let the b******s get you down my Dad would say. Happy Monday Andrew.

Thanks Chris, it’s pretty much fiction but work is a cut throat business .
