The ever changing canvas of thoughts.

The ever changing canvas of thoughts.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

What are memories
but a palette
of moments
we select, we paint,
we brush and apply
to colour our thoughts
in remembrance.

Thank you Chris. I think we are all artists chipping away!
I agree Andrew. We do re-dress our memories. The worst days, become less worst. The best days, do become better. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

You're welcome :)
Interesting point. Even more interesting is the way different people paint the same memory with different colors.

Why thank you John and yes you are right we all take in something different.
Ah, yes...makes me wonder how much memories change in time to suit our needs...we add our own shimmer to them over the years perhaps, nicely thought through Andrew :)

We do indeed Ruth, thank you for your kind words.
The colors of our days where we walked in meadows
where flowers danced and the deer danced... remembering
the shadows of dreams that rose with every dawn, and
every young fawn laid in soft spots where clover grew around
the paths of forgetmenots. Amen... Pat
