Hello! Can you hear me?

Hello! Can you hear me?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Excuse me!
This is not the place
I had in mind.

Hello!
Is anybody listening?
I'm in the wrong place!

Hello! You there!
Look there's been a mistake.
I'm not suppose to be here.

The problems of trying
to explain oneself
when one is dead on arrival.

No one is listening. Too late to attract their attention now. Final stanza explains all. Interesting poem Andrew. Made me pause and think.

Short, sweet and too the point. Ending statement really drives the poem home and leaves you feeling like... damn. Very nice!

This is exactly how it can feel on social media, to me, half the time! I wonder why I even do Facebook, since I could care less about the opinionated, trivial postings mostly posted there . . . postings about friends' abundant medications & ailments & other gripes . . . and similarly nobody gives a hoot about my bizarre rantings in verse! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

Old Grandpa saying. Don't talk to people who don't listen. Last lines, said it all my friend. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry Andrew.
