Not another IF poem!

Not another IF poem!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

It is with much regret
to inform you that
IF
everything was not written
we would have more trees
and further more
IF
we did not use
toilet paper
we would have
even more trees.

Mind you this is only
IF
because
IF
we had no termites
there would be a lot more trees
not forgetting paper wasps too,
more than a lot more trees.

All I’m saying is
IF
for
IF
we did not burn wood,
or make things out of wood
there would be so many trees,
more than more than more,
we would not be able to move
and therefore we would not need cars.

The axe would be
a thing of the past
and everything would be
bloody green and
nobody could ever say
Timber!

Yes!
It all depends on
IF
and the skies
are the limit.

IF is always a big word for two sort letter. I’m not willing to give up toilet paper lol we would have a lot more trees if we stopped doing a lot of things. We could have a ton more trees if we’d stop building concrete jungles of cities

You are welcome
If only my cypress tree hadn’t died, I would be feeling much happier this morning Andrew. The tree surgeon is arriving this morning, to fell it. We will save the wood for winter fuel. I am a tree hugger for my sins.

Thank you kindly bad bad bunny 😀
I think they say the Brazillian rain forest keeps the world alive.
Mind you, they're chopping it down in the guise of progress.
If only.

It is scary to see how much has been removed over the years. Thanks Paul.
IF Rudyard Kipling had not beaten Gunga Din senseless...there would be alot more trees!!!- I got it Andrew. Incredibly creative poem with a pointed message for this wasteful world....uh, except for the toilet paper suggestion- ha! Love the premise, the presentation, the execution of this poem and the sensitivity and caring beneath it all. Kudos and well- penned my friend.
