There's magic in origami... and certainly a brilliantly creative skill. I believe it goes back years and years and its finest participants can make virtually anything with simple but spotless paper. ' Think an appropriate words for creating whatever is 'finesse', the art of the most dextrous fingers. Seems your mind offers similar.

Love, love, love origami: it is art with specific but flowing accuracy. As with many Japanese crafts, that is considered part of perfection.
I bought a children's book on 'how to make origami' from a local book shop. Such craft books exist and usually a good assistant can look up a book about whatever online and in seconds. Treat yourself to one for your birthday, sir!

I have an origami swan made by my oldest daughter that I keep as a bookmark in an old book. It's still functional and if you pull its tail the wings move as if in flight. My youngest is in the middle of a report on Japan and is immersed in all things of their culture now, especially anime art. So your poem was very relatable to me.
