John Howard the Prime Minister of Australia

implemented straight  away the banning of guns

when a mass shooting occurred in Tasmania 1996

since then no mass killings have occurred

anywhere in Australia.

The now President Of America

has no balls as does its predecessors

to tackle the concept

that no guns mean no mass shootings.

When the President becomes a sissy

and will not take actions to protect children

it is clearly evident

the President Is a not the savoir of your country

but hides in the shadows of regret, ballless

allowing children to be killed

and only offer condolences

in case of public backlash.

What a pathetic leader you have

protecting your heritage of gun ownership

at the expense of children's lives.

Shame on you America.

Shame on you America for doing nothing!

God Bless those  like Australia

As a Canadian who lives close tot he border it scares me how easily it is for Americans to obtain weapons, and not just hunting rifles but fully automatic weapons and easily concealable hand guns. We have strict laws here in the great white north and for the most part all you can get is hunting rifles. Americans seem to think were stupid and weak but we've never lost a war we've entered, and we don't lose children every month due to poor gun laws. I wish our neighbors to the south would jump on board and realize they need better laws to stop the people committing these acts and protect the innocent.

This American wholeheartedly agrees with you. White masculinity, old west mentality and plain ol' greed are some of the reasons the bullets fly, but it may be even more complicated than that. I didn't vote for the orange menace nor any of his enablers, but way too many of my idiot countrymen did and will probably continue to. We need an intervention.

I applaud you Andrew- CLAP!! I could not add anything to what you have so truthfully said. He is a cowardly, corrupt disgrace to the hearts and souls and spitits of our people. He does not represent us. He represents himself. He is a cartoon. A caricature of infantile ego. I am so sck of his crocodile tears. I have heard of what happened in Australia and I laud the ethical and no-nonsense way Prime Minister John Howard handled it. Cheers for him and for Australia! Your poem is eloquent, informative, passionate, brave, moving. Important. Yes, shame on us... But we can still change things I pray...Bravo to you!:)

USA must do something. Can't blame the President only. The Senate and Congress. Bought and paid for by the gun lobbyist. Biggest murderers in the USA. Liquor and Cigarettes own congress and senate also. Worthwhile and true words Andrew.
