The kiss.

The kiss.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

What is a kiss
but a touching thought!

What is a hug
but confirmation!

A kiss is never alone
even when blown.

A kiss where contact
is inevitable
embracing two thoughts
united as hearts join.

What is a kiss
but touching thoughts embracing.

The kiss my friend. Can be a hello or a goodbye. Just two people interacting and knowing joy. Thank you Andrew for sharing your amazing poetry.

how true how true...the greatest of kisses is just that..communion of mind body, soul and lips .. i remember a love whose kiss i won with a poem .. i had just started my hand at them and was madly in love with this red haired Irish lass .. the poem that won her kisses for me ended in Kiss me Kiss me Kiss me ... i don't recall the rest of it..it was relatively short ..but those are the lines she said convinced her to....kiss me ;) she was honest and said she would leave one day but i didn't care one twit...we stayed together for 5 yrs and said a very difficult goodbye .. funny .. it was i that needed a commitment and her that could not give one :{ but the best part is we still are very good friends to this day and speak regularly :) look how your poem has brought up those memories ...but that first moment ..that first kiss ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Merry Christmas sir
