Captain Nemo's laughter lies on the sea floor.

Captain Nemo's laughter lies on the sea floor.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Sea waves roll through sockets empty,
teeth chatter on ocean whispers light,
jaw bones open to dead man's laughter,
bubbles break through a nose no more;
breathing, brave fish scurry past
as sea sand gathers on digits waving
on the current underpass,

a body once lied
on the sea floor dancing,
while encircling the skull of ever-more....
the dream lives on in murky waters.

this reminds me of those remains of ships that lie in deep waters...like the Titanic....the haunting memories of what they were like in full use before being sunk....and that was a classic movie.

"Sea waves roll through sockets empty"- great imagery and haunting poem..20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and dead men tell no lies. "Bubbles break through a nose no more"-stunning line. Jules Verne smiles...
