Floating on to you.

Floating on to you.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

From my perch
I leaped onto your
love displayed,
but I still felt
on swinging,
confined to your
 bars caged,
trapped.

Hee hee you have too much curry friends
When I read this I think of a former life of mine where I would sit in bars among men who had given up on life, mostly because they'd messed up or been in a messed up relationship.
Self confined and condemned to waste away until death.
Evocative piece Andrew.

thank you tony
Such a pulsing of light, the balance between freedom and a life of bondage to the soul. Strong and vivid.

Thank you dear poet for stopping by.
really like this analogy---we keep ourselves locked in the cage...all too often.

Thank you so much Jacob:0
foolish man! always running away from the cage that may just free him ;) clever as always .. subtle sensuality in first three lines says i! maybe he will never settle down ... i always wanted to be the "swinger" but was and am much too shy ... ;)
