I don't want to be a soul, man!A Poem by andrew mitchell
I don't want to be a soul, man!
What does a soul do for eternity? I mean, if my soul has presence of mind, I have needs! I need a body! Hallelujah! More importantly, and I perish the thought, spending time with family, loved ones, relatives, ex's, friends, neighbours for eternity; does not entertain me, one iota! For God's sake man! Hear me out! Christmas with family, in-laws, and relatives together is one day too long, one day too many! And you Sir, suggest Eternity! Kill me now! But I'm already dead! "Aaaarrghh!" As Daffy Duck would say. "Despicable!" Plus, I need space, and I don't think your space is Big Enough for all of us! Heaven help us indeed! I don't want to be a soul, man! Who's in charge here anyway? I'm just... an ole grumpy old man, I still hear it........ I'm a soulman Play it Steve. I'm a soulman Listen I was brought up on a side street I learned to love before I could eat. I'm a soulman. I'm a........... I'm not going!! Make me!!
