From a distance looking on.

From a distance looking on.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

From a distance looking on.
When my world axis moved
I felt change,
I was alone.
No longer orbiting
her sun, her love,
I became an observer,
the man in the moon
looking down on life
as we know it.
From below I was
a beacon of light
sometimes full,
flashing through
the camouflage of clouds;
a lighthouse looking on,
observing.
