The doctor said it was a sugar overdose!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The doctor said it was a sugar overdose!
Her perfume coils
around my nostrils
with full lips that murmured
to be kissed
in a voice as dulcet
as honey.
I kissed her;
her lips indescribably sweet.
I just knew then,
on a thought
that occurred to me,
I was going to get diabetes.

The last line is a line my friends love to use around me because I'm a horrible sugar addict. Nice spin on the theme of love as a disease xD fleeting infatuation is just like a sugar overdose especially with the crash that comes right after.
