Who dunnit!

Who dunnit!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Who dunnit!
When the heart is
broken, left bleeding;
its definitely
an inside job.
Ripped from its moorings
drifting in the tears
of the swells
in sorrow and despair.
A hug from loneliness
 is no comfort in times,
when the heart
needs urgent repairs.
Sitting in the reclining chair,
the dentist with drill in hand asks.
" Is everything okay?"
He replied. " More pain please!"

I love this poem. It's different. The voice unique. The flow uncannily works...and I love the last line. "More pain, please!" Because isn't it true that when we hurt inside, we sometimes seek physical pain to drown out that anguish. Nice work here!
