The cost of living.

The cost of living.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The cost of living.
The Coroner concluded,
it was not the love
of loving lovers
that killed him,
but from their bills..........
four marriages,
six children,
tax avoidances,
poor investments,
high spendings,
the mistresses.........
May you rest in peace!
the cost of living!

The last poem I read of yours was on a priest, and now here we have a poem on a coroner. I've always wondered where you get this creative imagination of yours from and the wry, mocking tone and irony in this poem had me laughing hysterically. My mom often tells me she'd be rich if she didn't have so many kids -- children these days cost a fortune to raise and then to send off to college after all.
