Into the pool of ink I dive!

Into the pool of ink I dive!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Into the pool of ink I dive!
From where I sit
I plummet,
into the pool of ink
I dive
immersed in theatrics
I emerge,
I become;
a preacher, a lover,
a sinner, a thief, a saint.
My subconscious decides....
in truth
on choosing
I cease to exist
no-more,
but in character.

Beautiful portrayal of the Poet/Writer...when the ink is spilled we do metaphorically die a death of sorts each poem :)

We do, only in character though. Thank you Poppy.:)
Perhaps most writers take on alternate characters when they grab that pen. Nice way to think about it. Valentine

All the world's a stage, we're just waiting on a cue. I quite like your way of poetic reasoning.
