When Picasso's brush changed directions.

When Picasso's brush changed directions.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

When Picasso's brush changed directions.
This is not the place
to intervene, and talk
my Dear.
Be quiet!
Is it not enough that
your nakedness is proof
of you disrupting
my thoughts with
your beauty
having wanton desires.
Be still!
For your eyes
are not in place
as is your body,
unfinished, not contoured;
paint splashes the floor.
Of all the girls
 I've painted before,
You! Have left me
confused in mind
for my painting
is nothing more than....
Abstract now!
Later, Picasso was heard
in corridors echoing words
" I wanted to get away
from the tyranny of things seen."
Picasso's Abstracts.

imagination is best...what is seen is often a bit too revealing and maybe a bit disturbing.
