The cemetery on passing.

The cemetery on passing.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The cemetery on passing.
Was not the
masquerade of death,
a cover up
on the shortcomings
of life.

dear Andrew, my mother's place has a large
rose quartz Heart tombstone with an excerpt
from her favorite poem, "close to my heart,
I hold each precious thing the sweet day yields,
until God gives us spring... Her life was not easy,
but her spirit was hopeful... and I am certain her
spirit lives on... truly, Pat p.s. your poem is
insightful as we all want to rest in peace.
Amen, Pat

Thank you so much Pat
i like the figurative look at the cemetery....many in that place, maybe happier---life has such shortcomings sometimes that we wish for the life after to come soon.

A very thoughtful piece. I like the tone about it, your choice of words.
