Implacably opposed!

Implacably opposed!
Implacably opposed
King and Queen;
a game of thrones
irreversibly torn
no longer
the jewel of the Nile
nor the King of Queens.
Behind their scenes
under anonymity
the levee banks of sorrow
broke flooding
any reconciliations, hope;
drowning in loneliness,
a dam of tears.

It seems like a relationship built on ego. Turned into a battleship of emotional chaos. The summation of which only imploded with time. Very sad write. On the bright side, when something comes to an end; there will always be a new beginning.
