When surfing seemed free!

When surfing seemed free!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

When surfing seemed free!
There was a time
when surfing was free,
just ask the Beach Boys,
But like all young times
they come to an end
assuming ironing boards
were once surfboards
that stopped pursuing
their dreams

and got real jobs.

Surfing is the epitome of a Taoist pursuit ... alas surrendering to the need to iron also so. The contrast of images in this piece:)
