The Aftermath.

The Aftermath.

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

just playing!

"
The aftermath.
when love
shot down
spiraling over
her stormy seas;
crashed,
love lost drowned
but hatred survived
in the life raft,
the aftermath.
the only survivor
rescued.

Your poem provides a discomforting and thoughtful mood, reflecting on the development of love in a rather negative way, when love turns into hate or other forms of felt and executed negativity. There's a certain kind of intelligence in your words based on experiences, I assume.

I see. Thanks for the little explanation. You're welcome.
tempestuous land skies and seas ... takes strong emotions to survive ..hatred being the most hated one of all :( glad you leave the end open ... your protagonist has a chance ... for myself i leave it with that glimmer of hope ...so that survival is not wasted and this heart you speak of has not survived at all ... always a good read here on you pages!
