Matters of the heart.

Matters of the heart.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Matters of the heart.

The heart trampled underfoot,
       emotions sky high
 rocketed towards the stars
         exploding........
     in an aerial display,
          fireworks.

While rational thoughts
catapulted from my cranial recess
entered the stratosphere,
         cloud nine.

Panic reigned on the
plateaus of rejection.

" Was she the one, this time?"

"At least externally
 I was well groomed."

"But how my real world inside
was turned upside down."

Sick to the stomach......
Just matters of the heart!
