When experience was less than expected.

When experience was less than expected.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

When experience was less than expected.
That quantum leap
when time plays her hand.
The jump of a child
playing in the playground
disappears in the fog
emerging an adult,
sad on leaving.
Where innocence gave way
to responsibilities
being an adult
was not all
it's cracked up to be.
When experience was less than expected;
time's push gave way to shove.
