Scared from birth

Scared from birth

A Poem by andrew mitchell

         Scared from birth.
When the push came to shove
       I was unprepared.
           Unannounced,
          I became scared,
       the world was too big.
                Even now.

A little naughty, almost, maybe because the first lines provide way too clear images ^^ But I can relate to your message. That's why we're here maybe, escaping from real life with poetry and other writings. A way to express oneself in a place that feels safe and shielded from outer influences though calling here unreal might be wrong too. Sometimes I think the things I write are realer than anything else...

Absolutely. I wouldn't spill my thoughts out on the people outside as I do in my writings.
Most of us know the feeling in the poetry. When we see real world. Teaches us to be careful. You said a handful in this poem. Thank you Andrew for sharing your excellent poetry.
