Aloof

Aloof

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Aloof.
Time slipped by
from the present
   daydreaming,
        aloof.
But one could see
  the foreseeable
        future
       looming,
         scary.

To the ego nothing is more attractive than the aloof. The ego is always worrying about its destruction and so a object of desire that appears to have no interest is tremendously appealing as she/he is not likely to affect the ego. It will be a disaster of one's own mind. Been here and often. Great write, Andrew:)
