Self doubt.

Self doubt.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Self doubt.
There was an air
of hesitancy
from you,
the sun hiding
behind the clouds
when I said
" I love you."

It is rare that both hearts are in sync at the same time. And sometimes, it is easier to not say it than say it, or sometimes it is necessary to say it, despite the risk. It depends on a lot of things. Very nicely expressed in a small verse.

A small but hurting one. I dare to say in every (form of) relationship there's always one who loves more than the other. I can relate to your words though I was the faltering one, once. Yet how awful it must be for the other part to sense this hesitancy when already the entire heart is spilled and exposed.

Oh man - i hope the hesitancy worked in their favor!
Such economical use of words, although the end result packs a punch.
