The money tree?

The money tree?

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

A Monty Python song title last line.

"
The money tree?
While the quest for the Holy Grail failed,
the objective changed with the times.
Now,
the quest for the money tree begins
as the jingles in the pockets
sound no more,
disappear.
Plastic cards rack up totals, owed.
Hunger rides on thoughts, despair.
Corporate giants take their slice
A song comes to mind.
" Always look on the bright side of life!"
