In defence I rose.

In defence I rose.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In defence I rose.
Tripping over a sentence not mine,
picking myself up,
I selected words applicable
to the occasion.
On rising I squashed
the negative thought,
not a nice word was said.
Deservingly!

I like this! A person can apply this to their life in any situation where they had to defend be it them or someone or something or whatever, because there is not imagery, which only makes it that much stronger. Great job!

I see so much in this piece
I guess rising was enough

Rising above it all
the prejudice
the bigotry

rise on Andrew

Opps. Hold thy temper. Play nice. Walk away silent, with a smile (it leaves them thinking) Even if it was deserved

Good Idea Bill! Thanks for your wise view!;)
Very inconsiderate of people to be leaving words and phrases lying around like that, it's just asking for trouble. Maybe we should all chose words more carefully, and remember to put them back where we got them :)
