Trouble on the horizon.

Trouble on the horizon.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Trouble on the horizon.
As the somewhat prosaic materialistic society
grows in stature
collecting
gathering
storing
so the Earth becomes
smaller
her resources
depleting
scarce
thinner
barren
void
nil.
Demand outstrips replacements.
" Hello!"
" Can I have Earth's spare parts department, please!"
" We're all in need of replacements!"
" Can I put an order in? "
" We're in need of more fresh air, clean water, trees, food fresh!"
" You know those kinda things!"
" Hello! Anyone there!"
" Is this Amazon?"

I liked the above lines a lot. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry. Left something for the reader to think about.

You know Canada is known to have the highest amount of garbage disposed per household in the whole world
People throw out furniture here
That makes me think
I have been in countries where people pass down furniture through generations

we over consume
we truly do

Honestly, if human kind will refuse to grow up, then I say it deserves, to die out, completely.

we're only taking, and destroying the earth. masses will die, fighting for water, and a place where it's safe to breath.

Humanity, is the nastiest, dumbest, ugliest beast out there.
I only hope, reason will replace greed, before it's too late.

"Parts department" now that's witty, this would be very funny if it weren't so true it makes one want to cry. Oh heck I am going to laugh anyway and beg forgiveness if anyone find me politicly incorrect :~)
