She was a natural

Athlete, you know.

Pretty in white.

She ran like the wind.

Through the streets

Once a year.

Town folk looked on

Tourists cheered.

She was phenomenal.

The hurdles, the hundred metres,

The long jump, cartwheels,

The marathon run.

Just her...... alone.

She had a following, 

You know!

Always behind her.

I only wished.....

She'd put some clothes on.

As I began reading I started thinking, 'I really admire people who run and exercise and stay fit. Wish I had such motivation.' Then, once I got to the end, I started laughing out loud! I think if I did as the woman in your poem, I would inspire people to run -- in the OTHER direction! Nice poem, Andrew! :)
