What's she thinking I wonder!A Poem by andrew mitchell
An outside Italian cafe
Busy, bustling, the crowd Drinking my wine I see Her seated, looking. What is she thinking right now? Sipping her wine Scanning the crowd seated. Does anyone fancy me? Do you like what you see? What is she thinking right now? Dragging on her cigarette, alone. Has she pulled the washing in? Did she buy those eggs? What is she thinking right now? Dressed impeccably, sunglasses on She crosses her leg, thighs exposed Does anyone want me? Someone talk to me? What is she thinking I wonder? Flicking her hair black, back What will I have for dinner tonight? Whose hearts can I break? Will anyone say hello? What is she thinking right now? I wonder. She signals the waiter. No one buys her a drink. Out with the lipstick: Another coat red! What is she thinking right now? Smiling, our eyes touch. We meet. Does she know what I'm thinking? I wonder because.... I don't like men in drag! I'm not that way inclined. © 2015 andrew mitchellReviews
