Just sleepA Poem by andrew mitchell
When skies are inky black
Thoughts on pillow ,rest The mind in doona wrapped Silence, the only request. Cocooned are the thoughts When sleep is needed No running around wild Lay to rest, my child. Thoughts, fence with words But not tonight. Tranquillity required Stop the fight! Deep in slumber Do not disturb To bed with thoughts Peace is preferred. All thoughts deceased All is quiet, deep A tranquil peace A good nights sleep.
