My world is awash!A Poem by andrew mitchell
Controlled chaos
Turns the world, over and over; Rumbling machines move, shake. The world goes spinning Round and round Days fall on tomorrow Minutes go round, revolving Tumbling on seconds. Thoughts on thoughts twist, turning. The toils of labour vanished; Awash on rivers that flood Engulfing, bubbling. As water rises, masses move, soaked; A sock showered, floats by. Colours fall on colours soaking. Whites on red. Reds on blues. Blues on yellows. Transfixed,my eyes watching Around and around, Revolving, spinning , awash colours. I see the moon, bright flash by Smiling , knocking, knocking. Then time stops. The money drops. The washing of clothes is done... over Opening the door, a coin rolls On the floor smiling. Thoughts washed drowned clean Hung out to dry; Pegged, die. Folded.
