At the table

At the table

A Poem by andrew mitchell

At the table,
Demanding our thoughts
"Pass me the ketchup!"
"Pass me the salt!"
"Pass me the pepper!"
"Where the hell's.. my fork?"
Demanding thoughts
Hungry, demanding,
Feed me!
My thoughts, we share
At the table.
